John Kentzer, principal.
A Sheffield-born adviser working with individuals, families and business owners on the financial decisions that shape their lives.
Background
John's career has run through financial services, logistics, operations management and business ownership. That mix matters: he has sat on both sides of the table, as the adviser and as the person running a business who needs the advice.
He brought that breadth into Lemoca Financial Planning to do one thing well: give people clear, honest advice that helps them feel in control of their money.
How John works
The first meeting is a conversation, not a sales pitch. John listens to your goals, your worries and the things you have been putting off. Only then does he start talking about plans, products or numbers.
Recommendations are written down in plain English, with the costs and trade-offs visible. Nothing happens until you say so, and reviews happen on a schedule that fits your life rather than his diary.
The best financial plans are quiet on the surface and clever underneath. Clear, written, agreed, reviewed. That is the job.
Why Lemoca exists
Lemoca Financial Planning was set up as a Partner Practice of St. James's Place Wealth Management plc. The Partner Practice model gives clients the calm of one named adviser they can build a relationship with, alongside the regulatory weight, research and product range of one of the UK's larger wealth management firms.
The aim is small-practice attentiveness with big-practice infrastructure. You get John as your point of contact, and the work behind the scenes is supported by the SJP framework.
Outside the office
John lives in Sheffield with his wife Amy and their two children, Elodie and Cole. He is a lifelong sports enthusiast and a long-suffering Sheffield United supporter, and you'll usually find him playing football, tennis, padel or running somewhere around the city.
That matters more than it might sound. Time with family and time on the pitch are exactly the things a good financial plan should protect.
A short list of promises
Plain English, always. No acronyms hiding the meaning. If a term is unavoidable, it gets explained the first time it appears.
Your timeline, not ours. Decisions are made when you're ready, not when it suits a quarter-end target.
Every cost made visible. Charges, commissions, ongoing fees: written down where you can read them, before you sign anything.

No. We work with people at different stages of life and different financial situations. The right time to talk is when you have decisions to make, not when you've reached a particular figure. The first conversation will help you work out whether ongoing advice is the right step for you right now.
